Homo Luminious simply put means a 'human being filled with light'. I think we are all moving towards this 'new human', but the process of transformation can be intense. I had originally hoped for a painting with a figure somewhere, moving through immense and overpowering city shapes. As the painting went on, I couldn't get this to work and gave up trying to add any reference to a figure. I decided to paint the energy of the words 'homo luminous'. Near the end of the painting I saw the figure, created out of lines, colors, and shapes I could not have intended.
